in the morning, the room overflows with sunshine
shades of white define the surfaces
the beautiful victorian pattern on the ceiling
the little boy's shout fills the whole street
sitting in the class colouring in trees
it felt like the time we learnt art just up the street from where we stayed
like the time i named a restaurant 'manna'
light shadow reflection perspective horizon sparkled effect contrast
if you're standing in a room with people all your height,
their heads will all be on the horizon line in the drawing.
what you think you see is not what you see.
but my technique of measuring with the pencil is so not accurate:(
and the proper way of holding the pencil and drawing etc
i think mr ellis and mr chia were much much more successful at getting us to do that
still remember the 10sec drawings
the frantic flipping, the big bold strokes
just capture the essence
the total shift to the right brain. what a release!
i still prefer mr ellis and jeremy pike's slide projector style
and their australian humour
mr ellis trained us well
wonder if he's in sydney now?
itch itch itch
moths in my room, in the toilet, in the kitchen
another 43deg coming up on sat
she has many many words
i can relate to him
headache from the heat, the toothache, the talkingtoomuchinthemorning?
he's settling in well :)
she's comfortable in our midst :)
whom have i on earth, whom in heaven but thee?
when i feel all lost and alone, you hold me fast.
you see, you know, you will direct.
you never change. that is why i trust.
and i rest. in you alone.
